Storyline -
First scene opens with 2 people doing a drug deal, who both are wearing hoodies covering their face and look like men. The one who is dealing, gets the money then runs off with the drugs as well. A close up shot is used on the other man showing his anger. The scene then cuts to young girl getting ready for bed. She is left in house alone over the weekend while her parents went away on holiday. She posts a status on her social networking site showing she's got the house to herself. When she posted the post, a strange man is shown to be looking at her page.
The girl is shown locking the doors, turning the lights off and getting into bed. (3.am)Whilst in bed she hears a knock on the front door. She hesitates to answer but the knocking increases and gets louder. She sneaks downstairs and opens the door. To her surprise, no one is there. She steps outside onto the front step and looks around, still no one is there. Running back into the house, she makes sure the door is locked as well as the windows and back door. She phones a close friend and tells them she's scared. While she's on the phone, you can see the male stood behind her. She walks into the kitchen on the phone and see's the man stood in the hallway, she screams and tries the front door, then runs upstairs and locks herself in her bedroom, she dials 999 and the murderer forces through the door and grabs her. (OPENING TITLE SEQUENCE). Black screen the fades back into the girl sat strapped into a chair with masking tape on her mouth. (to be continued)
I got my idea for the man stood behind the woman from the film 'The Strangers'. When i watched this film, seeing the killer in plain view and knowing the victim had no idea the killer was behind them created a lot of suspense and tension as the victim thinks they're safe.
